Strong relationships save lives

It is very important as a veteran to have a relationship and one that has strong values, trust, and loyalty. The reason why is because a lot of veterans find themselves isolated for many reasons and this can sometimes or most times lead to a unhealthy lifestyle. In life you have to learn to balance everything and set goals and dead lines for yourself. As a veteran its beneficial to find a significant other that not only understands your disability's but is willing to help and be a part of your recovery. As I always say (There isn't a boot-camp to come back home) and with out the support and understanding most give up or never move forward. Don't ever think for one second that you don't have to change things within yourself so you don't find yourself pushing away the very help that's in front of you. You also need to be understanding and willing to give patients to the ones that don't understand and do want to help. Sacrificing pleasures for a more meaningful life and relationship is another big part of making everything work.
