Food industry needs to be held accountable.

The Fast-Food Industry should be held Accountable Legally and financially for Obesity.
There is the war on your mind; and there is a choice that needs to be made
between what you stand for and what you support. Do you support a healthy
educated lifestyle or the complete opposite and live in denial? We have been
manipulated through false advertising and lack of information; to eat harmful
foods that affects our relationships, our mental and physical health. “One of the
symptoms used to diagnose depression is change in appetite, so there certainly
could be a link between diet and depression,” says Anil Malhotra, MD, director of
psychiatric research at Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, N.Y. Honestly

Do not be the person that refuses to educate yourself on your own problems you face
wile thinking nothing is wrong and there isn’t consequences to your unhealthy
choices. A 2014 study of more than 4,000 students in New Zealand found that a
high-quality diet was associated with better mental health and a low-quality diet
was associated with poor mental health. The findings were published in the
European Journal of Clinical Nutrition. How can an adult support his or her family
with expensive food on a low income, does he or she give up their health &
nutrition just to keep their stomachs filled with harmful ingredients? I say NO;
We need to just be honest with ourselves about how individuals eating habits
and consumptions are related to the health issues we face. naturalnews.com
states “As it turns out, food science is far more advanced and conspiratorial in
nature than you probably ever imagined. Billions of dollars are spent every single
year crafting artificial foods that target and seek to maximize virtually every
aspect of the food-eating experience. This complex process, of course, ensures
that consumers not only eat plenty of junk food, but also repeatedly come back
for more to their own demise.”

I believe these companies (like Monsanto, Dow, Syngenta and Bayer) that
participate in producing products that have harmful ingredients, also harming
environments and have very poor business practices; Should definitely be held
accountable on all levels. Here is why, The food companies restaurants and
grocery stores do not offer healthy choices in food and we should not be
subjected to only having one choice or going without. Is this what we call
freedom and how do you have freedom, when information is being held from our
knowledge? Why should connivance come at the cost of our health?
I as a citizen feel like I've been taken advantage of; pretty much robbed of my
money and hard work knowing that I spent my money on food that honestly
makes me sick as well as jeopardize my health, relationships, well being and
productivity. These companies should be held accountable legally and financially.
According to dailyfinance.com Monsanto is responsible for “145 lawsuits, or on
average about 9 lawsuits every year for 16 straight years, against farmers
who have “improperly reused their patented seeds.”” Monsanto claims legality
over GMO’s and these GMO’s contaminate organic farms and change the genetics
in live stock that eat GMO’s. I ask you this question if they can claim ownership
over organic farms that have been contaminate then could they claim ownership
over humans that consume it? In 2008—the year the previous federal Farm Bill
was completed—the company reported a whopping $8.8 million in lobbying
expenditures (see table below) intended to influence decisions in Congress, the
U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other federal agencies. The money means
nothing if people vote for someone that refuses to accept money from these
companies. Also the manipulation would be impossible if advertising and design
companies refuse to do business. Is the manipulation just a sheer fight between
designers trying to get the next job and manipulate the people for a paycheck at
the cost of their health Or is this a fight between the morals of designers and
ceo’s? Overall these companies should be held accountable and forced to have
transparency in labeling and should have to pay off the American debt or pay for
free health care in the United States. I believe everyone would eat more healthier if
these companies were held legally and financially accountable and gave the
money back to the society that they destroyed.

Now that the majority of knows what they are being fed will we stand up and
hold these companies accountable? Our health system is awesome and great; we
save people every day but what are we saving people from? Are we simply trying
to save ourselves from dying while accumulating debt and continuing to put
money into the pockets of elites; when they do not have our health in their best
interest. We need to stand up and save our selves from these companies rather
then trying to save ourselves from dying while we continue to consume the
problem we created. In today's world it's not a matter if something happens to
you but when. You have the chance coming next year to change the moment and
seize the opportunity to let your voice be herd.

Now is the time to refuse to support companies that don't have our best
health in their interest and if people can understand that if we ALL do our part
then these other companies supporting health will gain productivity; there for
increasing demand and lowering prices of the expensive healthy food but it's
starts with your personal choices when your shopping. We should stand up
today and start making the right choices. Go out Register and start voting,
educate yourselves about GMO’s and simply stop giving away your hard earned
money to system that feeds off your ignorance.

  1. Life should not be taken as a joke as the did in the video below. Yes creative but evil becuase this will subject people to believe its ok to promote unhealthy eating and continue to contribute to the healthy crisis and make our families suffer as the deal with your death from eating unhealthy.
